2024 Fall Soccer League

Registration Opening Soon

We plan on offering our usual fall soccer program in 2023 for children born between 2010 and 2020.

Games will take place at local schools and parks on Saturdays beginning the weekend after Labour Day.  There are no games on Thanksgiving weekend.

PLEASE NOTE that we may need to make changes to locations and division structure ahead of the season. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through the challenges with field permits.  We will try to finalize divisions, locations, and timings as early as possible, but please be aware that changes may occur up until the start of season.

Please also note that we are using the SportsEngine App again to share teams, schedules, etc. for the 2024 season.  Please download on your phone to be ready for the start of the season.

Volunteer Positions

LPAA is entirely organized and run by volunteers in the neighbourhood. We are non-profit and have positions available for all abilities, no experience necessary!

In addition to coaches, this year we have an opening for division conveners and a field permits organizer. If you want to find out more, please email us at soccer@lpaa.ca or click on the "soccer volunteer information" link below.

Soccer Program Information

LPAA offers a Fall house league soccer program for boys and girls aged 4 through 14.  We strive to have a fun league where all players can improve their skills and learn the game of soccer.

The 2023 Fall soccer season begins on the first Saturday after Labour Day and runs until the last weekend of October.

LPAA does not offer a Spring or Summer soccer house league program, but LPAA has offered a week-long soccer camp for children up to Grade 6 during August (cancelled in 2023).

Games are usually played at the same location each week at a neighbourhood field, such as Wanless Park, Toronto French School, Glendon College or Bedford Park Public School, although sometimes the location will change during the season owing to permits and field availability.

Each team meets for one hour each Saturday during the regular season schedule. The first part of the hour consists of skills practice and the latter portion of the hour consists of a game. Teams do not meet at any other times during the regular season. On Finals Weekend, teams play on Saturday, and, in rare circumstances, may play on Sunday.

Shinpads must be worn by all players and are not provided by LPAA.  Soccer cleats (with plastic studs) are optional for younger players on grass fields and required for older divisions. On turf fields, running shoes or turf shoes are preferable.

For 2023, Tykes, Peewees, and Intermediates are scheduled to play on grass with cleats required for Intermediates. Juniors and Bantams are scheduled to play on turf.

Concussion Awareness Registration

Rowan's Law

Ontario is the first jurisdiction in Canada to pass concussion safety legislation, setting a precedent for sport legislation across the country. The Ontario government worked closely with key medical experts, athletes, coaches and sport leaders – most notably the members of the Rowan’s Law Advisory Committee – in establishing this first-of-its-kind legislation that makes concussion awareness mandatory for all participants involved in children's athletics.

All parents are required to acknowledge that they have reviewed concussion awareness resources available during the registration process.

Any child that exhibits concussion signs or symptoms is required to stop play immediately and not to return to LPAA sports until medically cleared by a doctor.

LPAA will grant a pro-rata refund for all games unplayed because of a known or suspected concussion.
